HOMOEOPATHY

Homoeopathy encompasses the understanding that "like cures like", which is mentioned in Ancient Greek and Egyptian texts. The concept was "rediscovered" in the late 18th Century by Samuel Hahnemann - a German Doctor, Phamacist, Linguist and Philosopher.

This system of medicine uses the principle of:

"that which can create disease, can also heal it".

Homoeopathy is not a magical instant cure, or quick fix, although in acute situations it can often appear to be so. Generally, it is used to help the body's own innate healing mechanisms to gradually work towards balance and harmony, thus acheiving a better level of health and wholeness. Teatment is usually given in the form of a small pill (remedy) which dissolves in the mouth, sometimes as one dose, or sometimes as a daily dose for several weeks, or even months.

The society of Homoeopaths, 2 Artizan Road, Northampton NN1 4HU is the largest homoeopathic organisation in the UK. If you would like a copy of their Register or have any other enquiries call:
