CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle and profound form of treatment, based on discoveries about the body's subtle physiologies made by osteopaths nearly 100 years ago. it is a hands on , non-manipulative therapy used to treat a variety of ailments and conditions, as well as for promoting a general sense of physical and emotional well-being. The client remains dressed through out the session. The therapist listens, via gentle hand contact, to what is going on inside the client's body and in this way both identifies and relieves pains or tensions held there. Therapists are trained to pick up subtle movements in the body known as craniosacral motion, for both diagnostic and treatment purposes. The session is client led so your body will set the pace of the work. The nature of this treatment makes it suitable for babies, children and the elderly as well as adults.

The Craniosacral Therapy Association (CTA) is currently the largest regulatory board for craniosacral therapy in Britain. Only certain training courses are recognised by the Association and it maintains a professional standard of practice. Graduates are entitled to use the letters RCST after their names (Registered Craniosacral Therapist).

The CTA is a member of the British Complementary Association.
