IRIDOLOGY

(Iris Diagnosis)

IRIDOLOGY is an ancient science which has gained more recent interest through scientific/medical research, particularly in Russia, Germany and the USA. Early records go back as far as 1,000 BC in stone carvings in Babylonia.

By studying the iris of the eye (colour part) one is looking at 28,000 nerve endings all of which are connected to the brain via the hypothalamus. Apart from those related the brain zone, most of the neurological pathways extend down the spine and then to various parts of the body.

Along with the basic iris colour, and using a magnifying torch, the iridologist closely looks at the fibres of the iris, any markings on the iris surface, around the iris rim and pupil edge - notes down details on an Iris Chart, then will discuss the information with each patient, various options regarding future health care, medication, referrals, changes in diet and life style etc. etc.

If a patient is already under treatment or medication with a doctor, hospital or other practitioner Iris Diagnosis can often give further insight into the individual's health patterns which can be particularly helpful if progress or recovery is slow.
